The Aegis Max was Geekvape's single-battery mod in the Aegis line: a 21700-powered device wrapped in the rubberised, shock-resistant shell the range was known for.
What it was
- Battery: single 21700 (18650 with adapter)

- Chipset: AS-100 with temperature control
- Build: rated for water, shock and dust resistance
- Screen: 2.4" colour display
Why people bought it
Durability. Most mods are fragile, and the Aegis line was the answer for anyone working outdoors or simply tired of dropping things. The 21700 cell also gave noticeably longer runtime than the 18650 devices it competed with.
The trade-off was size and weight. It was a substantial device, and never a pocket one.

Battery safety
A device taking removable 21700 or 18650 cells needs those cells treated properly — never carried loose with keys or coins, never used with a torn wrap, never left charging unattended. Our guide to battery safety covers it.
Replacing it
If the Aegis Max has reached the end of its life, most people moving on from a mod of this size go to a pod system rather than another mod — far smaller, and modern coils last considerably longer than they did.
